Danny Sullivan (SearchEngineLand) wrote a <a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/google-pages-now-open-for-businesses-brands-places-more-100217\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thorough overview<\/a>. Some common complaints were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It&#8217;s not designed for large companies who have multiple people managing the account (<a href=\"http:\/\/scobleizer.com\/2011\/11\/08\/i-wish-i-had-never-heard-of-googles-brand-pages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Scoble<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It&#8217;s too easy to claim a brand that isn&#8217;t yours (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.itworld.com\/it-managementstrategy\/222289\/googles-own-special-brand-stupidity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ITWorld<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>My take? Hopefully the Google+ team is listening closely and will address these issues in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for companies &amp; brands to circle on Google+, just type in &#8220;+&#8221; followed by the brand name in the Google+ search box. Here are some brands that I&#8217;ve circled:<br>Google+, This Week In Tech (TWiT), TechCrunch, ReadWriteWeb, Mashable, NPR, NPR Fresh Air, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, WIRED, San Francisco Giants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Other Tech News This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Zynga is planning an IPO after Thanksgiving (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2011-11-07\/zynga-said-to-plan-ipo-after-thanksgiving.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yelp is rumored to be planning an IPO in early 2012 (<a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052970204190704577026140347386380.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WSJ<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salesforce launches a new collaboration platform called Do.com. Currently invitation-only&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20111109211243\/http:\/\/www.readwriteweb.com\/cloud\/2011\/11\/salesforces-docom-aims-to-torp.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ReadWriteWeb<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amazon announced more apps for the Kindle Fire (<a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2011\/11\/09\/kindle-fire-apps-netflix-facebook-angry-birds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VentureBeat)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is Google launching Google Music next week?
