This quote from A&#8217;s third baseman Eric Chavez really bothered me:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We&#8217;re running into a better team, and they&#8217;re knocking down everybody in their path,&#8221; A&#8217;s third baseman Eric Chavez said. &#8220;It&#8217;s not frustrating, they&#8217;re better than we are.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That is absolutely the wrong attitude, even if you are down 3-0.  Save the concession speech for when the series is over.\u00c2\u00a0 Eric, you should be frustrated with the way that your team has played.\u00c2\u00a0 Very frustrated.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s some <a href=\"http:\/\/athleticsnation.com\/comments\/2006\/10\/13\/19532\/392\/153#153\">heated discussion<\/a> about this ridiculous quote on <a href=\"http:\/\/athleticsnation.com\">Athletics Nation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/86\/269073237_536e9558dc.jpg\" height=\"500\" width=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The A&#8217;s were smacked around again by the Tigers today and they are on the verge of being swept out of the playoffs.
